Year 2 Trip to Warwick Castle

On Monday, Year 2 visited Warwick Castle as part of their Medieval Mayhem topic.

The children were able to see an example of a motte and bailey castle, which was originally built closely after the Norman Invasion (1068).

We had a fabulous day exploring the different parts of the castle and learning about the best ways to attack and defend a castle.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the falconry display and we finished the day getting lost in the maze!

Year 6 trip to Red House Glass Cone

Year 6 are having a great day at the Red House Glass Cone.

We've taken part in a glass fusing activity, watched a glass blowing demonstration, handled different glass items, designed our own vases AND built our own marble runs.

Thank you to the staff at the Glass Cone for such a wonderful day and to the staff and children from Brierley Hill Primary who we got to meet and spend the day with.

Year 4 Trip to Selly Manor

On Friday 7th June, year 4 went on a trip to Selly Manor where they learnt first hand what it would have been like to live in a Tudor house.

The children were able to hold replicas of historic items, set a Tudor dining table as well as try on armour, Tudor hats and traditional dress.

Everyone had a great day despite the gloomy weather outside!
