Amble Ramble 2025

Thursday 5th June, starting at 10.00 a.m.

Our annual ‘Amble Ramble’ is a sponsored walk around the local area, which raises money to enhance our school. There is always a great atmosphere and sense of community as the whole school walks along with parents, family and friends who join us for the event. (No dogs please)

This fundraising event is particularly important, given the financial challenges that all schools face, but seem especially challenging for our small school.  

The money raised by this year’s Amble Ramble will again enhance the curriculum. Thanks to your support last year, we were able to buy lots of new curriculum resources including a set of keyboards, globes, a class set of atlases and art equipment.  There is a growing list of other resources which would be valuable to support the children’s learning across the curriculum. This includes

• decodable books to support early reading
• books to enhance the library
• equipment to support the teaching of science, especially electricity
• hand tools for Design Technology
• further tuned instruments for Music
• additional specialist art equipment

Last year we asked the children to dress to reflect their favourite subject at school. This was a great success so we thought we would do the same again. The children might come as a mad scientist, an explorer or a character from history.

The children will be given a form on which to collect sponsorship. This can also be downloaded below. Once the walk has been completed, we ask that sponsorship money is returned to school by Monday 16^th June so that our new resources can be ordered. Please help us by getting as many sponsors as possible.
