Macmillan Coffee Morning

A lovely morning drinking coffee, eating cake and most importantly raising money for MacMillan. Thank you to all our parents and carers for donations and for staying to join us!

And a special big thank you to the RFA for organising it!

Astley Burf

Our residential trip to Astley Burf last week was a great success and we were very lucky with the weather! It was wonderful to see so many children enjoying themselves and challenging themselves to have a go at all of the activities and the added challenge of being away from home - which has inevitably happened a lot less over the course of the past few years. We were very proud of them all.

During the day the children had the opportunity to take part in: archery, high ropes, rock climbing, team building problem solving activities, orienteering and a long woodland walk. In the evenings we had a talent show, disco, played bingo and had a great campfire experience singing songs, whilst eating hot dogs washed down with lashings of hot chocolate.

Well done everyone for your "can do" growth mindset attitudes to all the challenges. We hope you enjoy the photos!

School Council Visit to Black Country Food Bank

Members of School Council held a special assembly about their recent visit to the Food Bank. We discussed the work the Food Bank does in relation to our values 'gratitude' and 'empathy'. We donated 26 meals during the visit but have now set ourselves a new target of 250 meals!

Please take some time to look at the presentation put together by members of the School Council about their recent visit to the Food Bank.

Action for Happiness - Self care September

Caring for yourself isn't selfish. When we're kind to ourselves it also helps us respond more positively to what happens and treat others more kindly too.
