School Closure - January 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Following the Prime Minister's announcement that schools will be moving to remote learning from tomorrow, I wanted to update you on our plans.

School will be closed to all pupils tomorrow whilst we make arrangements for the children of key workers to be cared for. As during the last lockdown, this provision is only for those where there is no other alternative. To restrict transmission of the virus, we need to keep the number of people on site as small as possible and appreciate your support with this. If you do require this provision, please email info@ridge.dudley.sch.uk  with the names of your child(ren), the days your need, your role and place of work.

Once we have made all the necessary arrangements we will send you further details and confirm your child's place. Do not bring your child to school until their place has been confirmed. Children attending school will undertake remote learning under the supervision of a member of staff. The children will need to wear their school uniform and bring a packed lunch.

For children undertaking remote learning at home, further information, including how to set up Class Dojo will be sent tomorrow. In the meantime children can work on Doodle Maths, TT Rockstars/Numbots and read.

Thank you for your understanding during these difficult days. I am proud of our strong school community and I know that we will continue to work together to support each other in the days and weeks to come.

Please stay safe.

Kind regards,

Deb Hudson
Headteacher
