Mid-Point Reports and Parent/Carer Consultations
Dear Parents/Carers
Our Parent/Carer Consultations will take place on Tuesday 21st March 2023 between 2.00pm and 7.10pm. On this date staff will be available for face to face appointments in school.
As last year, mid-year reports will be given out during your parent consultation appointment to enable your child's teacher to explain the report and discuss any questions or concerns that you may have.
To try and avoid delays and for the welfare of staff, we are organising our appointments differently this year.
- Please do not bring your children with you. Staff feel able to have a much more open discussion, without the children present.
- All meetings with teachers will take place in the hall.
- Please ensure that you are ready at your appointment - arrive five minutes before the time you have selected.
- You will be directed into the hall at the appointment time.
- At the end of the allocated 10 minute slot the bell will ring and you are asked to leave the hall via the one-way system.
- You are invited to view your child's work in their classroom between 3.30pm and 6.00pm on Wednesday 22nd March, but teachers will not be present to discuss their progress with you at this time.
It is important that you are on time for your consultation appointment. We understand that sometimes unavoidable delays happen and if this is the case, you will be offered another appointment time later in the day, should one be available. If there are no suitable appointments, you will be asked to re-arrange your appointment directly with the class teacher. This is out of courtesy to all parents and staff, to make sure that we run to time.
If Tuesday 21st March is not convenient for you, or you have a particularly detailed matter that you would like to discuss with your child's teacher, please contact them directly to make an alternative appointment.
Bookings will go live for consultations tomorrow (Wednesday 8th March) through the school website. You will need to be logged in to the website to book your appointment; please contact the school office if you experience any issues booking your appointment.
As with all changes, we will review how the new look consultation evenings run and welcome your feedback. In the meantime we look forward to welcoming you on 21st March.
