Dear Y6,

I hope that all of you are keeping well and are enjoying your return to school if you have been able to do so. Things are very busy here in preparation for your arrival in September! Mrs Du Mont our Support and Guidance Officer has begun calling our new Y6 parents so that she can introduce herself and find out more about you! Our aim is to speak to all of our families during this half term so if you have not received a call yet don’t worry we will be in touch soon! We will also be liaising with primary schools towards the end of this half term so that we have all the school information that we need about you however we would really like to hear from our new Y6 students directly! We would love it if you can write to us to let us know all about you! What do you love about school and learning, how do you feel about coming to Ridgewood, what are your worries and fears about the transition to secondary school. What are your favourite books, subjects, hobbies? What are your ambitions, hopes and dreams? If you can write your letter and include some or all of those suggestions above that will really help us start to get to know each of you individually.  All letters need to be emailed to primary@ridgewood.dudley.sch.uk  and addressed to Mrs Mather or they can be hand written and posted to the school addressed to Mrs Mather.

We will be sending letters out to families this half term with induction information in there and we are very much hoping that we can run our normal face to face induction days and sessions with you in July. More information will come out about these after May half term and I will write to you again with further updates then.

In the meantime if you have not had a look already go and view our website and click the primary transition button which will take you to lots of information about us and what we are about. We are aiming to run tours again during May and June for those of you who may want a second look around or who have not been able to visit us yet. Further information about booking these will come out to families later on this half term.
