Summer Term Letter

Hi Year 6! I hope that you and your families are all well. It’s been lovely to get lots of emails from your parents to find out what you’ve been up to over the past few weeksPlease keep sending them! Well done to those of you who have been doing some Doodle Maths, TT Rockstars AND our brand new Spelling Shed as well.

It’s been very strange for me (like it has for all of you) getting used to a new way of working from home. I’ve been keeping very busy though, and when I’m not doing my schoolwork I’ve been cleaning, cooking, gardening, joining in with Joe Wickes’s P.E. lessons, going for walks and of course reading. I’ve just started reading ‘Frostheart’. (Keep a look out for more chapters of ‘Holes’ coming soon on the school website.)We had some very exciting news in our family recently too – my sister had a baby boy! My new nephew is called Finley and I can’t wait to meet him.

Don’t forget to keep in touch and tell us what you’ve been up to!

Take care,

Miss Ball

Year 6, how are you all?  Mrs Warren is missing you all so much, and thinks about you all the time.  I am doing fine and in between trying to get Isabel to do some school work (that’s another story!)

I’m keeping well and safe.  I don’t think I have read so much in my life!  I have completed Roar, The Boy at the Back of the Class and The Star Outside My Window, which were all fabulous reads.  I have also introduced Isabel to Beetle Boy, she seems very engrossed in it so must be enjoying it.  I’m sure you have all been doing lots of reading yourselves, I would love a recommendation for my next book to read, could you email Miss Ball with some book reviews for me please?

I have been spending lots of time in the garden, painting my shed, tidying the garage and planting some plants - had to get Mr Warren to remove a frog for me though!  We have been able to enjoy a few BBQ’s for our tea too thanks to the amazing weather, which is something we wouldn’t normally be able to do during a hectic school week so that has made a nice change.

The Warren family have become fanatics with the game Yahtzee, which is a dice game, if you’ve not got the actual game I believe there is an App if you want to give it a go.

Well then Year 6, be good, be helpful and stay safe, I’ll be in touch again soon.

Love Mrs Warren x

Year 6 - Hi guys! I hope you’re all well and are staying safe with your loved ones. I’m sure this all still feels very strange to you (it does to us as well!) but we will overcome this together and will come out on the other side even stronger.

You’re all doing so well and I’m very proud of you all. I hope you’re managing to stay busy, whether that’s doing some Doodle Maths, reading a book, playing in your garden in the sunshine, helping a little bit around the house or playing with brothers or sisters. I’ve almost finished re-reading the final Harry Potter book so that’s been keeping me occupied – I could definitely do with some new book recommendations though!

Everyone at school is missing you very much and we are all thinking about you. It feels very weird and quiet being in school when most of you aren’t here, especially when I’m used to seeing you all nearly every day. It makes me really appreciate the time that I get to spend with you all and how much I love working with this class. You all put a smile on my face every day and I am very grateful to have the pleasure to work with such wonderful children.

While we don’t know what the future will bring it is important that we all stay positive and know that this won’t last forever and we will all be back together at some point soon. We still need to get a little bit of use out of the new libraries!

So stay safe, keep smiling and we will all see each other again before you know it!

Love, Miss Ware
