A message from the Headteacher
Dear Parents and Carers,
School Meals – Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th October
You may remember that when I wrote to you about the start of term arrangements I indicated that there would be a small number of occasions throughout the year, where we are unable to use our hall for lunches.
This will be the case next week on Monday and Tuesday – 4th and 5th October. All children entitled to a free school meal (either universal free school meals in Reception, Years 1 and 2 or Income based FSM entitlement in Key Stage 2) will still be able to have their meal, however it will need to be a grab bag. Alternatively, they can bring a packed lunch from home.
On Wednesday, we will return to full service in the hall for Reception, Years 2, 4 and 6 as usual.
Please can we ask if you usually send dinner money in on a daily basis, that nothing is sent in until Wednesday as there will be no access to the till until then.
We apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment that this may cause.
Covid Update
Over the last couple of weeks, we have had a small number of positive cases of Covid in school. All of those affected have been asymptomatic or displaying the diffuse symptoms - loss of appetite, extreme tiredness, headaches, joint pain or muscle ache, nausea, sore throat, sneezing, diarrhoea and/or vomiting runny nose or congestion.
We know how difficult it is to distinguish these Covid symptoms from other seasonal illnesses but please do take your child for a PCR test (not LFT) if they are displaying any of the symptoms above. At the current time, sore throats in particular need looking in to.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs D Hudson
