Harvest 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

It will soon be time for us to celebrate our Harvest in school and we are looking forward to welcoming you to on this occasion. It has been a long time since we last welcomed parents to an assembly and we anticipate that lots of you will want to join us. To allow as many as possible to enjoy this event we have decided to repeat the Harvest Assembly and perform it on

  • Friday 7th October at 10.00 a.m. and
  • Monday 10th October at 9.15 a.m.
To manage numbers, we would encourage parents of pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to join us on Friday and parents of Key Stage 2 children to come on Monday, wherever possible. There will be limited seating and although there will be standing room, we will need to limit numbers to comply with fire regulations.

We welcome donations of tinned and packet food and toiletries, however the food bank is especially short of

  • MILK (LONG LIFE) 1L CARTONS
  • FRUIT JUICE (LONG LIFE) 1L CARTONS
  • TINNED TOMATOES
  • JARS OF COOKING SAUCES
  • TINNED DESSERTS (FRUIT/CUSTARD/RICE PUDDING)
  • TINNED MEAT (CORNED BEEF/HAM/SPAM/HOT DOGS)
  • MICROWAVABLE FLAVOURED RICE PACKETS
  • BREAKFAST CEREALS (SMALL PACKS)
  • INSTANT FLAVOURED NOODLES (MICROWAVEABLE)
  • POTATOES (PACKET MASH)
  • SHAMPOO
  • DEODORANT (ROLL ON)
  • TOILET ROLLS
  • BARS OF SOAP
  • TOOTHPASTE
  • SHOWER GEL

Donations can be brought into school on Thursday 6th and Friday 7th October. If you would prefer to donate cash, this can be put into the secure posting box outside the office, ensuring the envelope is clearly labelled for the Food Bank. We would also welcome donations of carrier bags to transport the food to the Food Bank and these are then given to recipients of food packs.

Please take some time to look at the presentation below, put together by members of the School Council about their recent visit to the Food Bank.

Thank you for your support.
