Newsletter - 18th December 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the Christmas holiday, I wanted to thank you for your wonderful support over what has been an unprecedented year in school.  Your trust in us, to keep your children safe and learning, your understanding when things have not been ‘normal’ and your ongoing encouragement has been truly appreciated by myself and all the staff.

I also want to take the opportunity to share my thanks and admiration for the staff and governors at The Ridge, who have worked so hard in difficult circumstances this term. I am privileged to work with such a dedicated team and your messages of thanks and hope reflect a shared appreciation for all that they have done. Thank you for taking the time to write them.

We hope that you have a good Christmas, however that might look for you and your families. We trust that brighter times are around the corner, and that 2021 will see us return to something closer to the lives that we lead before the pandemic.

In the meantime a couple of reminders -

  • Please remember that help is available for anyone struggling over the holiday – further detailed information of agencies who can offer practical help can be found on the leaflet on our school website.
  • Please also remember that we need to be notified as soon as possible, of any positive cases of Coronavirus over the holiday. (again, details can be found on the website)

We return to school on Monday 4th January, when the staggered start and end times and arrangements for our year group bubbles will continue.

Stay safe.

Kind regards

Mrs D Hudson
