Critical and Key Worker Provision Return to School Information

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your patience whist we have undertaken the difficult task of allocating provision in school for the children of critical and key workers. We have prioritised every application and allocated places for tomorrow and Friday. We will be looking at allocating places for next week, tomorrow. Please note, that because you have a place for this week, it does not guarantee places for coming weeks. We hope to move to allocating places for two weeks at a time to try and give you some clarity. However, we have some children who are high priority but do not need places until later in lockdown. Clearly with limited spaces, it may not be possible to accommodate some pupils in future allocation rounds.

Arrangements for Tomorrow.

  • Children attending will be expected to be in school all day.
  • OSCAR will run as usual from 8.00 a.m. and children should be brought to the OSCAR door where Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Phillips-Roden will meet the children as usual.
  • All other children should arrive between 8.40 and 8.50 a.m.
  • Kindergarten will use their usual entrance.
  • The children will be in their usual classroom and will have their own socially distance desk/space.
  • The children will be supervised completing their home learning and other activities by a member of staff. This may be their class TA or another staff member. Most bubbles will have two members of staff working with them at different times across the week.
  • Routes to classrooms remain as previously used, with children on the ground floor going through the exterior classroom door and children in Key Stage 2 going up the ramp and in through the playground doors.
  • Children can be collected between 3.15 and 3.30 p.m. Reception and Key Stage 1 children are to be collected from the classroom door and Key Stage 2 parents should wait on the playground. A member of staff will note that you are waiting, collect your child and send them out to meet you.
  • Children should wear uniform with layers and a warm coat as previously advised.
  • For tomorrow and Friday, the children will need to bring a packed lunch. Moving forward we hope to be able to offer grab bags.
  • The children will use their own stationery packs which should already be in their classrooms.
Although we will do everything in our power to avoid it, critical and key worker bubbles may need to be closed if we do not have the staff available to safely run the provision.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind regards,

Deb Hudson
