Dear Parents and Carers

As the children begin the half term holiday, I need to ask for your continued support during the pandemic.

It is vital to reduce the spread of the virus, that school is informed of any members of our school community (children or staff) who test positive for Covid-19 during the holiday. We will then be able to identify and inform any close contacts of their need to self-isolate.

A dedicated email address has been set up for parents and carers to contact school to inform us of any positive test results. This will be monitored frequently throughout the holiday period. Please only use this email address for COVID related matters.

Please inform us as soon as you can after receiving a positive test result so that we can contact, as a matter of urgency, anyone who in the previous 48 hours has been in close contact with the individual concerned.

The positive case will need to complete self-isolation for 10 days from symptom onset (or test date if asymptomatic).

All close contacts will need to self-isolate for 14 days from the date of their last contact with the confirmed case.

In cases where there are no school based close contacts, (e.g. symptoms appeared later in the half term week) we still need to be informed and to confirm the date of return to school.
